Reading and hearing about all the expats in Dumaguete. Where are they all? Robinsons Place today we counted 11 Hyper Mart was 3 Lee Plaza Food hall we counted about 7 Immigration ( well expected) about 18 A brisk walk along the boulevard ( Give or take. 20+ ) If there so many, as some tell us, where do they all go to or where do they hide? Just Asking JP
Even there you are lucky to count 20. A far cry from the 4,000 or so usually said to reside in Dumaguete. I've often wondered myself where all these expats are hiding out. I guess a bunch of them just stay home (or are intentionally avoiding me ).
Way too hot in the city anyway,especially this time of year. A few of us were hiding around the angulang peninsula today on a nice white sand beach.
I am guessing the BoI double counts or triple counts the guys coming and leaving when their visa expires then returning. Also, there are many foreigners with families running beach resorts and also a lot attending Silliman. I bet there are at least 2,000-2,500 here, and growing.
I have been busy building our home up here in Valencia. I hope to soon get more time. to meet up with a few others in the future a few at the red table but i myself don't drink often but enjoy meeting the guys there.
