    Dreamscape Networks, a business process outsourcing company, rented the whole Cinema 5 for the launch of its new ad campaign. Several foreign visitors were among those at the event.

    According to one witness, the water that came out of the ceiling poured "like waterfalls." Then, portions of the ceiling collapsed. People inside the cinema moved toward the exits.

    Lawyer Jeanette Japzon, Cebu Holdings Inc. corporate communications manager, said the victims sustained cuts and various injuries.

    "They were rushed to a nearby private hospital," Japzon said in a phone.

    Sprinkler system had collapsed cause of cinema ceiling

    Cebu - A faulty sprinkler system caused the majority of the ceiling, the Cinema 5 collapsed at 20:50 clock in the Ayala Center Cebu on Monday. The management of the shopping center says the ceiling of the cinema was soaked by the defective sprinkler system and is therefore collapsed.

    Why do Filipinos do this with their English? Is it something that gets lost in the translation? A tense conflict perhaps? I really didn't pay attention in English class so I can't say exactly why that sounds wrong.....but there is something wrong with that last part.
