:wideyed: Some days I despair, Last Evening I went to have a haircut and after we went to do a bit of Shopping ,
While in 'Traders' opposite 'Russi' Motor Cycles, I was taken back by a loud conversation between a tall western man who could have been Belg, Dutch or North German. to me the English lent that way.
Anyway the crux of it was that the lady (G/F or Wife) was telling him no you cant open it it till paid for [A Vita milk.] he was not amused and kept saying it's OK I will keep the Bottle. Why all the fuss. Now there are signs all around these type of Shops and indeed most Shops, "No eating or Drinking in the Store" but of course there is always one.
Now later at the Checkout, he barges past the Que in a Bad mannered way and demands that the cashier takes the 25 peso for the Drink, the Guard had a word with him and the guy said look I just want to pay for this. OK he pays then complains that they do not have a bottle opener.
He eventually gets the Top off the bottle, Stands Under a "NO DRINKING OR DRINKING IN THE STORE" sign and begins to drink the Drink. To his amazement, The guard talks to him again, he then shouts at the guard who had said Look you cant do this, I have F.......g paid for it look here is the O/R, More Amazement when he is asked to leave the Store.
Photos were taken by some on Phones when the Struggle Started, and the situation only stopped when an Off Duty Policeman intervened. Good job it was not an On Duty Policeman as I suspect his next bottle of Vita milk would have been in a cell.
Again we can only feel for his lady who had spent much time explaining things to him Before he got in trouble.
He and the lady + her Mother (I guess) later Roared of on a Rouser Motorbike but not before his number was taken down by the Off duty officer.
Luckily We are quite well known in this Store so not a lot was said to me but it would not surprise me to find this Store has become Foreigner Unfriendly in the Future.

I tend to think this would not make a Difference to this Guy, respect should be earned, in his case I agree, Respect should be shown/ given to Him.
Ah but just another day and another idiot.

On the subject of ugly foreigners, an American who knows I was in the military told me how, in my current condition, I should go to the Veterans Office in Manila and file a false claim like he did in order to receive medical treatment and free meds. This guy never saw a day of combat and apparently was never injured while serving yet is proud he receives a monthly check and free meds. I realize there may be others here doing that - - I find it appalling. At the same, a very good friend with big time Agent Orange problems has been trying to get VA approval and it is taking forever in spite of his need and documentation.
Not all foreigners here are pristine. On the contrary.

Yup and he is probably first in line to have a duck about a stolen valor incident. Meanwhile he stands in front of the line at the VA in front of your friend and myself making us wait and using up resources we earned the hard way - committing multiple federal felonies and bragging about it. Him and those like him better not brag around me, while I normally mind my own business I would do everything I can to turn this kind of scum in and have zero sympathy as he starts his trip to Ft Leavenworth.

Sorry but that one hit a nerve big time.

So true and some re-invent themselves as being the military for reasons unbeknownst to me! Some even think that if they pass basic training and get that is as good as serving their country.
