Our papered Belgian Malinois gave birth to 7 pups on April 23rd, their father was a beautiful Dalmatian. 4 males and 3 females. We are ready to let them find new homes around the first of July. All shots and deworming are up to date and we will be current on their regiment as they find new homes. They are mostly housebroken, none take a dump in the house but we are still working out the pee issue; with 7 it can be tough to figure out who the culprit is. They are very socialized with other dogs, adults and small children. We do not have cats or other critters but I think they are young enough for the introduction to other pets. There is a lot of views that it is irresponsible to cross pure bred dogs as well as folks that think bringing in some additional blood makes the subsequent dogs healthier. We are not breeders or a puppy farm kind of thing, the first litter was Cherry's idea; the second litter was an accident. As the first litter went to new homes it was difficult as we fell in love with the pups. We were totally surprised to see a fawn colored Belgian Malinois and a Dalmatian produce black puppies with white chests and black spots. I kept one from the first litter as I fell in love with him. From experience I can attest to how intelligent, loving and protective he is. Mother and Father have the attributes to be some of the best dogs and this cross gives the best of both breeds in my opinion. We do not believe it is healthy or humane to cage or chain a dog up, they need to be part of the family and loved. A dog or animal lover will understand this. With that said we will never let one of our dogs go into that situation knowing. Cherry recently learned that the last pup from the first litter is currently caged up, which is a complete lie from what the guy promised us. He was a great dog and we are both concerned, she wants to go choke the guy out, under 5' but I would not go up against a girl full of p*ss and vinegar. A great thing is that I have an 8 month old (Romo) that you can visit to see what you are getting. I included more pictures of him as I want folks to see how big the pups will get. Romo is 8 months and not done growing. I was told that the price of the first litter of pups at 3000 pesos was too cheap and expats may think the quality of the dogs was suspect. His parents cost a hell of a lot more but I was going with what I thought was fair for the pups. I'm going to go the opposite way; if you can promise me that the pups will never be caged or chained and they will be allowed to run and be part of the family then I will give them for free. Hi Shawn, Our house will be built before Christmas (hopefully) - finally starting 26/06. We are interested in one of the male puppies - but not till the house is finished. Currently renting - pets are a no no. No room for an active puppy anyway - wouldn't be fair on him. House is expected to be "inhabitable" by end October, meaning pups would be 6 months or so. Would you keep them for that long?? Please let us know. Thanks
I can't make any promises that far out, but you never know. Not everyone out there has a yard and the ability to take care of a larger dog and the fact that we won't let them go to anyone that would want to cage or chain them. The wife has 3 lined up to go to friends that she trusts and I've gotten a PM from one forum member so far. I'll keep the post updated until all the pups find new families so we will see, it took a bit to find homes for the first litter. From your avatar it looks like you are in Tanjay as we are (Tugas side of town) so if you would like to stop by sometime to meet the pups let me know. Shawn
Give me a call at so we can set a time and I can give you easy directions to our place. Shawn edited by a moderator.please use the PM system for personal details, Thank you.
Hi Shawn, Found this on facebook - pretty much tells the full story how to greet the new family member ,,,,
It is the time I am feeling comfortable letting the pups go to their new homes. Our expectations are straight on how they are to be treated and who they go to. Shawn & Cherry
I gave the pups another dose of deworming meds yesterday, just wanted to make sure they were good to go to their new homes. A male pup went to his new home this morning, another male will be going out this afternoon and I will be taking a male tomorrow for Jack. Only one male will be left. One female has also been claimed, just waiting for him to come get her. It is sad to see the little guys go as you really get attached to them but it is good to know they are going to homes that will love them. I think our little runt dog will miss the pups the most as she had 7 playmates that were closer to her size even though they are bigger than her now. The male I kept from the first litter is now taller than his Belgian Malinois mother, he takes after the Dalmatian father more on build so he is not going to be as thick as the Belgian. Just a reminder that they are cute little pups now but will be big beautiful dogs later. Shawn
Things are ready now here, his sister will be pleased I know, to have another male around. So we await to introduce SHADOW to the rest of the Canine part of the Family. JP
