Where can I get good quality veggies to make my veggie juice? Looking for one-stop shopping for spinach, carrots, sugar beets, cucumbers, celery, native petchay, and green & red peppers. In Boracay there is a small vendor in D-Mall who has veggies flown in from Baguio a few times a week. In Tagbilaran the BQ Supermarket has their veggies flown in from Baguio. I went to Robinson's, but their selection is limited -- I have never seen (western) spinach nor red peppers. And some of their veggies appear poor quality -- the celery always looks limp & wilted. Hoping to learn of a local vendor who caters to expats who has veggies flown in from Baguio a few times a week!!!
You could try the farmers market on the corner of e j blanco drive where it meets the highway, they have some good veg a couple times a week or go to valencia on a Sunday morning, the road right below the plaza has a big veggie market.
There is another Farmers Market at Bagacay On the Robinson's Valencia Road. Past the Hypermart toward Valencia, turn Right between the Two Garages that are opposite to each other on the Right and it is immediately on the left. Plenty of smaller other businesses there too. JP
Wednesday and Saturday are delivery days to the market and grocery stores. Look into pinterest site on how to store fruits and vegetables. In Cebu S&R is a nice place for vegetables and good prices. Celery is large and fresh. Nice green bell peppers, sometimes red are available too.
