I bought a coupöe of plastic spray bottles (Hypermart/Lee Plaza) and filled them with 70% rubbing alcohol. Pu it on "stream", not "spray" and practice your poistol shooting! When hit they fall off the table and die, and the spot where they landed is disinfected! Great fun!

Sorry to hear the plastic bottle did not work. I have a problem with flies on my porch. Maybe they are attracted to the smelly shoes & sandals. The other day I placed 2 sticky fly mats on the porch by the shoes, which I bought at Handyman Hardware. Caught lots of flies. The wind blew over the sticky matts so I placed the corner of the mat under a leg of porch furniture -- no problem with wind since.

Speaking of flies...I've discovered that if one is on say the table or window, and you approach it with your flattened hand sliding along the surface, you can usually get right up in front of it and come within a mm or 2 or even touch its' nose with your index finger before it moves a little or flies off.

I showed my wife how to do it the other day at new McDo along their window, and it freaked her right out ha-ha

I'd make a YT vid of it but I'm too lazy

These flies have got a lot worse over the last week or so,I made a bottle trap, caught zero flies, hung the elec zapper outside, limited sucsess, two stlicky fly papers outside and again limited success.
Only way to keep them off is inside the house with door shut with fan on high!
