I agree, it's one of my favorite spots for a great family day. Havn't been there for a while, how's the road from the national highway to there?

Road from Nat'l Highway up to about 200 mtrs before Bambulo is fine. After that is becomes unpaved and bumpy because they are building a new bridge across from the Bambulo restaurant. However, the place can stll be reached without problems (just drive slow). The parking and entrance have changed though: Entrance is through the gate at the far end of the former parking lot and parking is inside the premises now (they put signs up). Entrance to the establishment is via stairs next to the entrance gate and through another gate (wide open) to the swimming pool area. Enjoy!

Says who? I never see expats just hanging around not ordering/paying. Geez, even in a dining thread you manage to get in a dig against foreigners. I guess, in this case, they were not drunk, loud, filthy etc. at least????? Not like in your comment about Bogarts. Huh?

It happens more than you might think. People (Filipinos and expats) will come in and only order a coke then want to use the pool, wifi, restrooms, etc. 10 pesos of profit (if that) for a coke hardly covers the cost of the internet bandwidth, electricity used for the pool, cleaning restrooms and then paying the staff. There are plenty of people out there who do this. Nobody is saying that all expats or Filipinos do this....but there are certainly enough of them for many business owners to be forced to charge an entrance fee or charge for use of the facilities.

If this conversation is going to continue I will start a new thread with these posts. This topic is about Bambulo, not freeloaders.

    Says who.....Answer..... says the owner

I report exactly as I experience, by way I am happy to pay and do not free load in any way. I found the resort lovely, in fact we are going there today for lunch and a swim.....not free loading.

I reported Bogarts exactly as what was my experience, nothing less.

Just a note... A few friends and I went for another fun day at Bambulo last Saturday. The staff were all smiles and very attentive, beer was nice and cold, the pizza was delicious with just a tint of smoke flavor, good music and wifi at our table. My daughter and others went for a swim in the crystal clear pool's. Entrance is only P80 and that includes swimming and or miniature golf, free if you don't swim or swing a club.

Then the real fun started! We gave our ladies a beer or two then a putter and ball, we only had 1 rule and that was no rules.... Wow what a great day, can't wait to do it again.....

I agree it's my families favorite place to go for a day of swimming and fun. Enjoy the food too. Never been disappointed. The road work is now finished near the resort also. Just watch for the entrance as not given much notice before you turn to go in. Well worth everyone's time to try it out IMO.
