Where to Find Anywhere to buy flour tortillas (soft taco) in Duma?

    I like making my own Mexican food, but finding the ingredients here in Dumaguete seems to be next to imposible.

    In any grocery store in the US, you can find bags of flour tortillas for people that like to make there own soft tacos or burritos at home, but here in Duma, I haven't found any.

    For as long as the Spanish ruled the Philippines, it kind of suprises me that flour tortillas never found there way here to the islands, but they certainly didn't.

    Anyway, have any of you folks found flour tortillas for sale here in Dumaguete?

    Too bad they don't import them here from the US ..... Well, they don't import Americn hot dogs either (something else I have not found here in the stores).

    ikr. Sum things just don't make n e cents. I have no idea where to buy flour tortillas but I'm sure you could make some homemade ones with local ingredients.


    *sigh* it was the first one on the youtube search results....anyone can be a youtube star apparently...no script needed...just say the first thing that pops in your head and wing it. :meh:

    Ron, Robinson's Market sells Hebrew National hot dogs from the U.S.. Very expensive but delicious.

    As far as the American Hot Dogs, I looked all over the Robinson's Mall supermarket and didn't find any at all ... I guess your talking about the Robinson's downtown?

    BTW ... Another thing I have looked for and can't find is a bottle of American made BBQ sauce .... Something like this:

    I've seen tortillas at Hypermart but don't know if they're any good. I see Hunt's BBQ sauce there nearly every trip.
    Johnsonville Garlic Brats aren't hot dogs but they'll do. Also at Hypermart .. usually.

    Turbota, You can get flour tortillas at Finish Line resto inside the airport parking area, sometimes in stock or order them and pick up in a day or two. They are around 8 inches. They also sell corn tortillas the same size.

    Sometimes I make my own but it's a lot of work.....

    ex231 .... Ok, I will check out Hypermart in a couple of days. That was the one store I never checked for BBQ sauce.

    expatron ... Never heard of the Finish Line resturant, but I will drive over to the airport and look for it ... I am surprised that a restaurant would sell flour tortillas.

    When you enter the airport grounds Finishline is on your right side, talk to Lisa inside. She will either sell from their stocks or can make them for you, very good quality...

    saw them at lee's Plaza market the other day center isle freezers on the side where cosmetics are sold
