There will be a consular visit next Friday 24th July at the plaza Maria Louisa sweets which is just down from the old mc Donald's. Anyone wanting to attend should be there between 4-6pm, the consular staff will explain what they can and cannot do for you and will also answer any questions you may have. Snacks and one drink will be provided.
Davy that is just about the Worst time between 4 and 6 pm and I am not sure they can tell any of us any real new thing, as most of the time they only tell us what they can't do! Cynical? maybe but the timing is just so Typically British. They know that not many will venture out at that time, one has to Wonder where they have been all day? but then, A Friday night Jolly to Follow, Good Job That What? Sorry mate I know this is not your Doing but.............. BTW I don't Remember there being a press release on this, so apart from your Thread post, I can't see many going can You? JP
It's not been the best planned visit by them this time and looks like everything was again left to the last min. We did offer to put ad in local newspaper but they were not interested. So we can only work with forums and social media. They asked when meeting at lunch today how many were coming and told them we had no idea,how are we supposed to know. What I will say though is things have changed a lot since the last consular visit several years back.
Davy all well and Good, but if they are here already why is it not an all day drop in type of thing, this leads me to believe it is not for Joe Publics benefit but the Tag on to other business. I wont be going but perhaps you can give us a heads up at some stage on the outcome. JP
One of the reasons they don't do a drop in thing is there are many visits planned to funeral homes,several police stn,dswd,prisons,hospitals etc etc
