Gimmick? 4k in 15fps is the tops? Look back 5 years and what happened since. It's called development. But is it progress? One thing is sure - consumers pay
It will be quite a few years before the majority of people have a screen that can even view 4k. If I had known that when I bought my gopro I would have just bought the gopro 3. Absolutely no sense in recording in 4k and wasting the battery. And for my purposes 4k is pointless as the internet in the Philippines, where most of the web traffic comes from, cant handle streaming 4k. People simply won't be watching any video I made at that resolution. Also, the human eye only sees things around 15fps. The only place a higher frame rate matters is in slow motion. Higher resolution and frame rates can actually make us sick to watch. On video that is higher resolution they have had to add in motion blur to make it tolerable. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Don't know if this counts for anything here, but a friend of mine's mate said that with out his GoPro and it's fish eye images he could not of got this image of the Hoover dam. JP
That's easy to get with most modern smart phones these days. Just look for the panoramic option in the camera settings. You won't get it in one shot but it will come out much nicer (without the distortion) than with a fish eye lense. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Sweet *esus on a cracker. He doesn't know what he's talking about. NTSC is 30 fps. This is basics man Careful with Your cam, Silver can record up to 240 fps. Happy Shootings.
And PAL runs at 25.....what does that have to do with what I said about the way our brains register video? Generally anything above 15FPS has motion blur added to the video.
Would you like to contribute and share what you know? How would you make the videos I or others have posted here better? What camera would you recommend? What settings would you recommend shooting in? All ears.
