Not really, the BB is issued on arrival and your wife has to be with you entering on a Filipino passport.. As she will be Entering on a US passport the BB Privilege will not be available to her.
the only way to extend a BB is for you both to leave the PI and re-enter together. the BB is not a visa but a privilege to a Filipino National to bring their Spouse & children into the country. You can extend on a BB but it cuts you down to 2 years of your 3 year stay as 1 year has been used up on the BB. to avail the BB she will have to have her Passport.

Yes it did mentioned even if it is an expired Philippines passport to show she is a returning Filipino to her homeland. I actually found that information on this particular website. Either way we are moving back and its just a matter of sorting things out and doing it legally without breaking rules and getting blacklisted for Fraud, if you know what i mean.

We would like to be there at the 1st of the year if possible and we get all the loose ends tied up here. School year will just be starting here in 2 weeks for our daughter and we need to find out if it is feasible to transfer there to a private school mid way. Also what part of Dumaguete to move too that's new, safe, secure and foreigner friendly, not downtown and not to far off on the outskirts or high up in the mountains way from everything. Close to school we choose or bus route will be a plus.

You don't upgrade the 13A temporary to 13A permanent. It's done automatically when you renew it after a certain time. When I did it 13 years ago it was after one year, hence first renewal it became permanent.
A heard a friend now saying it was first extended to 5 years temporary, and then 10 years temporary, so a total of 16 years before it's permanent. Have not verified it though.
Once permanent you don't need to accompany him for the annual reporting. But, it's only valid as long as you live together. Of course they will never find out, unless someone inform them about it. If he keeps his mouth shut about what status he got, no one will know.
When I extended mine temporary after one year, and hence became permanent, we needed a statement from the barangay captain that we still lived together.

Not so any more it is now another application and more money to pay. Some of the Requirements are the same but believe me, it is Not automatic.

BTW it is only probationary for 1 year after that it is Permanent.

Fwiw, Dgte's favorite former Cebu immigration attorney advised the other day that the quota visa (don't need to be married) should be applied for asap every January before the 50 available per year are all gone.

You are aware of the visa for former US military personnel that is available? Even 2yr military men can get it. Leo at Commerce Bank does them as does an expat who just got his own, and is now an agent for PRA..
