Been a lurker on and off for a while. Been coming to Siquijor to be with the Mrs for the last 7 years or so. I work in Higher Education in the Gulf and the UK in my spare time lol. I've also done guest slots at Silliman and in Manila teaching. So working my way toward retirement pretty much. My question is, are there any bars in Dumaguete that will be showing the Rugby World Cup this September/October? It's frequent a hostelery or pay someone savvy to point a satellite dish and piggy back/pirate a Sky Sports signal else. Will I get into trouble for saying that? Cheers, C
Nope my friend No problem with asking at all We have quite a few Sports bars and other Bars that may well be showing this event. Maybe you can tell us which Area of the city you will be staying as it will help to offer you the best answer to the Question based on Location Location and as we know, Location is the key Sometimes. Hi, not all...we know Dumaguete quite well and are mobile, so that won't matter where we stay. Normally we dorm over at Essencia if on a trip from Siquijor. The Missus will be driving as I will be rendering myself incapable after a couple of sodas. Arriving after 18th Sept for a 6 week stay and then back to the desert for me, she will be staying in Siquijor with the rellies.
Hi all again, I've just learned that Fox Sports Asia will be screening the Rugby World Cup. Though I wouldn't expect any of Dumaguete's good bars to be open at 5am...it would be good to have any information on bars that a) have Fox Sports Asia, and b) at what time they close (11pm for the early afternoon matches). And problem solved. Email the rellies, send them some cash and et voila Fox Sports Channel via cable. Everyone's happy. Sorry Dumaguete, won't be staying overnight hunting for bars that close early.....
