What's your favorite all time sandwich (GOAT)? Mine goes way back to my first job. A small Jewish eatery in the Los Feliz district of LA in 1968 had a mouthwatering dripping juicy tasty hot pastrami on rye with swiss cheese, dijon, and a big dill pickle. Nothing since comes close.
A place here makes the best cheese steak hogey..topped with thinly sliced jalapeños....put on a toasted bun with a bit of Dijon.
That last picture looks pretty appetizing. Is that there new Yum Rat Burger? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
In East L A there was a Mexican called his business SIXTOS,,,,Had a walk down smoker Bar B Q with Ham Beef...Lamb...and Pork he would cook.... WITH MESQUITE .... APRICOT AND ASH WOODS....He told me once he basted them with Bacon Grease as they cooked...I am telling you he piled the meat on some delicious french rolls and had a beef type dip along with a home made Bar B Q Sauce....THAT SANDWICH WAS TO ""KILL"""" FOR... I wonder if anybody here that ever went there and knew about it.
When I was at Camp Lejeune a couple months ago there was a couple guys that had a food truck called "Dem Boyz B BBQ'N" sitting outside base. They made one of the best BBQ sandwich I've ever had. If your in the area I recommend finding that truck. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
