    No, I don't understand why people think it is worth their time to argue over who's imaginary sky daddy should be forcibly recognized by a government. I think that any government that forces people to recognize a religious day wrong. Is it right that Muslims cannot use the banks here for almost a full week because of Christmas? Is it right that they lose several days of wages because of a religion they don't believe in? Why does any religion feel the need to force observance of their holidays onto nonbelievers? If a business owner wants to close the doors for a certain holiday or let certain employees off because of their personal beliefs that is fine, but governments should take no part in that. I think religion is all a bunch of nonsense.

    I agree but it is getting beyond any religion Now, it is getting to be about Control Through Fanatics, and appeasing them is not the way Forward as Spain, Portugal and many other countries are now Finding out.
    Having said that of course the locals will enjoy yet another Regular Holiday and never think about any long term Consequences :wink:
    So I say as you do, let them get on with it :whistling:

    Yes and after the Madrid Bombings they wish they Hadn't. Another round Of Moro uprising could change all that of course.
