I WAS TO;L THAT THIS TIME OF YEAR, AROUND ELECTION TIME, THE FOREIGNERS ARE USUALLY BEING SOUGHT OUT FOR KIDNAPPING AND MURDER ALSO!! SO MY FRIEND FROM MINDANAO CAME HERE TO LIVE TILL ITS ALL OVER!! BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HERE ALSO!! BUT NOT MANY VISITORS AMONG THE 82!!!
That's 82 people since this program was created last year. So, they have kicked out a massive 164,000 pesos? I think overstays might have a better chance of winning the Filipino lotto than getting picked up by this thing. And maybe they would be able to pay their visa from their lotto winnings.
Hmm, 82 at about $1500usd monthly--that is about 5.4 million peso a month the economy loses--Wonder how many OFW's have to leave there families here to offset the economic loss? Sound fiscal policy, that!
Does the BoI give these guys a chance to catch up on their visas? Or are they so ridiculously behind (by several years) that they are not capable of paying? It's one thing to get deported for being a couple weeks/months behind....if a guy is half a decade or more behind then he deserves to be deported.
