Stamp in passport just goes to to the date you get it done and says permanent. It's the card that gives you the 5 years. The passport stamp never changes.

Took a new passport to immigration last month and they were not interested, they stated that just wait until yearly registration next January and then they would update there records for new passport number.

Probationary 13A visa is good for one year the next registration is good for five years, but don't wait for the probationary card is due to expire before applying for 5 year visa I would say apply after 8 month as takes some time to process things in Manila.

I have a 13A Permanent Visa, but this Permanent Visa only lasts 5 years and has to be renewed. Rather annoying, as once my wife and I were married in the UK, the British Authorities treated her like a natural born Brit. Makes you feel second class and never really accepted in this society.

Hi KC this is what I was wondering, like most things I guess ask 10 people and we will get 10 different answers.
Can I ask was that 13a Issued here or in the UK?

I did once too, and they said they can't put the stamp in my passport, as I already had a 13A entry stamp (I renew it abroad).
So, make sure to bring your old passport the first time you go abroad/return from abroad, with a new passport.
With one 13A entry stamp in your new passport, it's good to go without the old one.

    IMPORTANT!
Don't forget your annual reporting in Jan-feb. Even temporary 13A has to do that. A friend got his temporary 13A and asked if there was anything he needed to do before next years renewal to permanent, and they said 'no'. So, he failed the annual reporting. When he came to convert to permanent, they voided his 13A as he had failed the annual reporting.
