What's up with that crap? Download speeds are absolute sh*t. I could give a crap less about the upload being what it's supposed to be. Come 6pm the internet is completely unusable until about 6-7am. I'm only getting internet half of the day and I'm freaking fed up with it. Calling these idiots at Globe today to have them send someone out to fix this nonsense. Rinse, wash, repeat everyday until I'm getting the speeds I'm paying for. This LTE sh*t service is unacceptable!
Just got off the phone with Globe. After reading off the signal strength readings they told me the reason for my internet being slow is because I probably have a virus on my computer and that I should run a virus scan to resolve the issue. That's BS of course as it doesn't matter if I'm connecting from Windows, Linux or Android....the service is complete crap. Now they are going to send someone out (after 3 business days) to come look at the settings themselves and tell me the same thing. I'm not letting it go this time. They will fix their crappy service or they will tell me to go find another provider.
Globe, Smart they are all the same Always the End users fault. What amazes me is when the Technicians? ( loosely called) Call, the Numbers jump up. Jack
They tried that with me, sir your pc is the problem , i got right up them big time they came out and reset my port in the cabinet up the road a bit i have never had a problem sense. its all over greed , get the peso, fk the costumer .
I'll have the keylogger on to record the modem's admin account password when they show, up without their own computer of course, to log on to the modem (I already have access to the regular user account). There is certainly a problem with the modem. Many times when it is taking forever to load a webpage I have to pull up the modem page (192.168.254.254) in the browser to get other pages to load. Sometimes the d*mn modem page takes 10+ seconds to load up.....and that's on a local freaking connection! They are providing sh*t internet through sh*t equipment on overcrowded sh*t networks, there is only one possible outcome.....sh*t service.
What do they know about the internet anyway, they're only a call center and read from a script! If you added up all the brain cells in that place I don't think it would be above a single digit!
I show them that I have 2 PCs, 1 laptop, 3 tablets. and 2 android phones and ask them if all have a virus. I also say that its a clean install of windows so no chance of a virus. (doesn't have to be all true thou). I also most importantly refuse to allow them to do a speedtest from Manila and demand they check multiple outside the Philippines while asking them if I pinged the speed between one computer in my house to another in my house can I call that my internet speed? Then I explain that that is the same exact sh*t they are trying to pull on be my testing Manila. The thing is the Philippines doesn't even comprise 0.001% of the internet which is fairly well maintained by other large developed countries and to get an accurate speed test one must test international backbone lines. However that is the issue as Globe, Smart, PLDT, and so on refuse to buy sufficient international access. Further I only recently found out that a few major lines that were being looped with the Philippines have been cut from Philippine service because PLDT and Globe wanted a cheaper option and have switched over to more Hong Kong and China backbones which were already severely congested during peak Asia internet use times. The lines are still there but almost everything is now routed through China or HK's backbones.
I told them I was using Linux and it was impossible for me to have a virus (of course that's not "impossible" but highly unlikely). She just said "Oh". I doubt she had a clue what I was talking about but she accepted it and didn't mention it might be a computer problem again. I didn't mention any other devices because they asked how many were connected to the network (I knew where she was going with that) so I just said the one computer. lol I have a feeling I might lose it if they answered that rhetorical question.
BTW: the "technician" still hasn't called or came out. Oh wait....they said "after" 3 business days. I guess they meant 4 business days, or perhaps sometime in the next decade.
I have had bayantel for 3 years with great service and speeds I pay allot 9000 pesos a month but I have 6 down consistantly and usually more. last week I was told globe bought bayantel and now I will have to deal with the same crap you guys are stuck with. I will be happy when the new internet service gets here I think its called viper or something like that. I just hope I live long enough to see it.
