Ron nice to have you on Board, Have you been to Dumaguete before? if so, it might be and Idea if you gave a hint on an Area, If not it may be a boots on the ground excercise for you but whichever, I am sure others will try to help best they can.

There is so much variety in rental housing, from a nice house on the beach at 30K a month or more to a tiny row house at 8K a month. Tell us exactly what you are looking for and you will get better info.

 

Thanks for the advice-Iam not a weathly expat so an apt. or house somewhat furnished max p16k within 1/2 hr of snorkeling beach, yet near Dumaguete for shopping. I read that Dauin has good snorkeling but have no idea how big a place or kind of stores there.

 

Thanks for info-I have been to Dumaguete before but just a couple of days so really don't know areas will be learning experience (boots on the ground) or many tricycle rides. Looking for place within 1/2 hr of snorkeling beach but but also near grocery shopping.

 

There were a few apartments for rent in Dauin directly across from the CockPit on National Highway earlier this week. I believe the upper was renting for 10,000p a month.

Looked at a few beach houses / apartments on Trunos Beach in Dauin (down a very crappy road). The lady there wanted 20,000p a month and we just laughed and rode away. Half that price might have been interesting...
