· Stuck in traffic? No area to park? Shooting incident? No problem. The City Council in their session today successfully launched a new gaming app for the Dumaguetenos and its called Instascram Puzzle Mobile App. With this launching, they are hoping that Dumaguetenos will not get bored while stuck in traffic or instead just stay at home and play, keeping you safe while you be amazed and entertained. Now that the City Council is into gaming development, they are expecting that some of these apps will help solved the deteriorating condition of the city. The apps will be available for download soon once they get a stable internet connection. In the meantime, members of the council will get to play the game during their sessions and break time to test the reliability of the app and for bugz
I thought you were joking and wasn't going to give a serious reply but sure enough...... lol Traffic is not that slow in Dumaguete. It's not like Manila's 1 hour to get 1 kilometer or Cebu's 1 hour to get 2 kilometer "rush" hour traffic jams. Drivers playing games while driving will only call cause more accidents and slow up traffic even more. Instead of wasting time and money on having gaming apps developed why don't they just enforce some of the dang traffic laws?! I guess at least maybe they could make some money from the advertising in the app.....? (Probably not, it takes hundreds of thousands/millions of daily users to pull slightly more than minimum wage.) I wonder if they will have in app purchases? I'm still not sure this is a real thing. Hulagway might be yanking our chains here. The mayor and counsel members should have seen the roasting they are going to get a mile away for coming up with this one. Now, if they would come up with an app that allowed people to fill out forms and pay government fees with just a few click they would really have something there. (We can only dream!)
Making a game of being stuck in traffic makes a statement that the city council cannot and/or will not do a f'ing thing about the traffic, thus it will get worse. Of course it is not as bad as the traffic in (insert your choice of city name here) but then the population of (insert same city name here) is much larger than Dumaguete.
