I believe I had some seedlngs growing now of coorriander. I will check tomorrow. They may be too small to transport as the 120 pots are flimsy. Come the the seed exchange tomorrow at Andy's Private Garden south of the Mall. Alex is from Australia also. Come and meet some people interested in gardening there on Monday March 16 at at 1:00 PM @alex @roodog
I do have 5 very small coriander seedlings. They are two small to transport on my motorcycle. (the pots are flimsy and the soil ball will break) I will bring pictures. If someone wants one they can pick it up at my house. They are difficult to grown. There were planted on February 20th. Show up today at Andy Private Garden and I will show you some pictures. @roodog
Hi..I have just settled in to Dumaguete.I am from Australia and just love my Passionfruit. Can I buy seedlings from you please?
I moved house two weeks ago leaving behind most of my plants. I have just a couple of passion fruit that I will try and germinate will let you know when they start coming up. You can often get the local variety fruit in Daro market left hand side towards the back. Not as sweet but a good start as they grow like weeds.
I missed this thread the first time around (I didn't live in Duma yet), but I am interested also. I'm new to gardening here but my SO has significant experience as she comes from a family of gardener. Would love fresh grown veggies, herbs and spices.
How far south of the mall is Andy's Private Garden? Also, does anyone successfully make fertiliser from the local seaweed.
I will probably put together another seed exchange after the "hot" weather cools of later this spring if there are people interested. Most people desire potted flowers and vegetables instead of seed, but we could do both way. I will give you about 2 months notice so anyone that wants to start growing plants from seeds for trade or bartering will be ready. Please post you interest
drive south past Robinson's until you see the school on the right hand side of street on the corner. Turn left there and it's a couple hundred meters down on the left. All in maybe a kilometer from Robinson's. P.S. very good food also but pricey IMO.
hey dave, good to see you back on the group.... i'm interested in a plant exchange/gardeners get together.
Thanks Norm, we will wait until the weather cools and the growing season starts. I am glad you are interested. You always have so much knowledge to share.
