Looking for interested Bridge players. Games are Mornings on an agreed upon day each week. Send a PM if you are interested in a card game that is not Texas Hold Em. We only need 4 players. Edited by moderator: Removed contact information. Please send user PM is interested in playing.
Well if you know anyone in Thailand there should be a few players that will play if you bail them out.
Necroposting a bit here but I'd be interested in finding some euchre players. Hard to find people that know the game though. Midwest US card game. Kinda-sorta similar to spades but with less cards....which I'd also be interested in finding players for.
I was surprised no one else made that connection, I didn't notice how old it was till after I posted but it was meant to be a joke. The game is dying even in the US, the internet is killing it IMHO When I was a kid my parents always had friends over and played, Bridge, Hearts, Spades, Gin but now people just play games looking at the computer screen. It was a way to socialize but no more. Now even poker isn't played at home much in the basement or garage. People rather go to the Indian casino or the local card room ran by the state.
I've never played bridge, only played hearts on the computer and I suck at spades. Euchre was always my favorite card game to play, plays much faster than spades and hearts. Finding people who know the game is next to impossible though. The local game here is Tong-its. Very similar to Gin. I avoid playing with the locals as they cheat/collaborate when a long nose is in the game. I do enjoy playing that game. You can find poker at many of the restobars around town. Used to be one guy that had a private game at his house once a week as well.
I also read this and had to laugh. Expats arrested in Sin City for possessing more than 120 playing cards.
In the video it looks like they are playing Duplicate Bridge. Of course they need more cards but they are not gambling, Unless they paid 100 Baht entry fee and the two winners split the 'take' Anyway this is an old thread, and its been a loooooong time since I played any bridge but I would be curious to know how that game is going. Where is the original poster now?
He hasn't logged on since July of last year. His restobar is still open. Been there 3-4 times (at odd hours) but I've never seen him there. His staff could probably tell you when he is normally in.
His place is going strong. It was packed today. He is around during the day quite a bit. Not sure about evenings.
