I think the locals should do malls how they want to do malls. If I don't like it then I'll just stay home. Obviously Robinson's is making a ton of money doing things their way or they wouldn't have a mall and/or property in basically every decently sized city in the Philippines.
I can imagine all the pissed off people outside the mall waiting an hour for the cahsier to get change from the office....
Apparently this had been tried in Thailand and was met with fierce opposition. Malls in Thailand charge an Entry Fee | Development | Promoting the new Pattaya
1200 baht?! lol They're crazy. I'd laugh and walk away. Disgusting and racist practice. I hope the owner ends up homeless and destitute....forced to beg for pocket change to feed his children on Walking Street from tourists.
try saying "Pa Age ko" pronounced 'Pah Aggie Koh' it works wonders and you may even get a smile like I do when said nicely it means excuse me in Cebuano/Bisaya
Yes you are right, i think they should start letting all the unleashed dogs into the mall as well so the locals feel even more at home.
even better let them take their motorbikes into the mall so they don't have to walk alllll that way from the car park, parking is no problem, in front of the fire exits or any doorway will do.
You might have noticed that to stop that type of behavior Robinsons has had to hire a bunch of guys with shotguns and M16s. Robinsons knows your scenario is very possible if they let their customers do what they want.
If I owned Robinsons it would be open until at least 9pm every night. Unless they have changed things they are only open until 8pm on a Thursday or Friday evening and on a busy night they are closing the doors while customers are trying desperately to get in and spend their cash.
Wouldn't the shops inside have some say in that since, I'm guessing here, they need to be open while the mall itself is open? Being open every day of the week for long hours could be difficult and result in losses for many of the tenants. I would bet tenants have some say n the hours the mall is open. I would also think that Robinson's has adjusted their hours over the years based off of sales numbers (since they get a percentage of profit from the stores). I'm quite positive that Robinsons likes to make money and they have hired some very intelligent people to optimize their profits. We can all make suggestions but without seeing the actual numbers they are just that, suggestions. :D
