Which rules are you going to apply? 8 or 9 ball, so many rules. Or do we make them up like some do in why-not bar

They have always played 8 ball by the international WPA rules at Why Not....at lest on the table closest to the door. There is a huge frame with the rules in it on the wall behind the crappy table (with massive pockets) where the drunks and prostitutes play. Filipinos are pretty good about knowing the international rules and they are quick to jump in and stop any that aren't familiar with them (or are trying to cheat). Most of the time it is the expats that have no clue what they are doing....and the biggest culprits are the Brits and redneck Americans who think you can "snooker"(I think that's what they were saying?) you by just lightly tapping their ball and not hitting a rail after making contact. This was how I learned to play in the US as well....on our tiny little tables...but I much prefer what they call "league rules" where I was from (which are just WPA rules).

You should engrave the winner's name in there and keep it at the bar for bragging rights. I certainly wouldn't want to take it home where nobody would ever see how awesome I was at billiards. lol
