You know why they lock gas tanks to motorcycles but not to cars. To many of us would walk around with a bag full of m-60's dropping them in the tanks of the noisy bikes.

I have a couple guys on my street who I swear have their bikes purposefully rigged for massive noise and whenever they drive down my residential street they floor it going 60-70kph. Its just a small short residential street also.... not like its a shortcut to anything.

Teenagers and young adults do this nonsense all over the world. In the US they put "fart cans" on their POS Honda Civics and, largely, get away with it. Filipinos usually don't have the money to buy aftermarket exhausts so they make due with what they have to make as much noise as possible.

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – A local village councilman shot and killed a motorist on Friday over a motorbike with an open pipe muffler that produced irritating noise.
Supt. Barney Condes, Koronadal City police director, identified the victim as Ronelo Galayogo, 31, a resident of Barangay Namnama, Koronadal City; and the suspect as Barangay Councilman Dante Manuel of Purok Magsaysay, Barangay Namnama.
Condes said Manuel surrendered after the incident that transpired at 2 a.m. Friday.
Manuel and village residents had complained of too much noise every time Galayogo went around the village on a motorbike with a “bora-bora” or open pipe muffler.
Despite repeated reminders, the Galayogo allegedly continued using the bike even during unholy hours.
On Friday before dawn, Manuel was awakened by the noise of Galayogo’s motorcycle so he took his cal. 22 pistol and fired at the rider who fell and crashed after he was hit in the back.
Namnama Barangay chair Alfredo Sotelo came to Manuel’s rescue, saying the councilman only fired warning shots and that he was not under the influence of liquor.
Manuel has been detained by the police.

But did it work? He did not kill the motorcycle so surely a relative of the deceased will ride it up and down the street in memorium.

lol You don't aim center-mass for warning shots. And get a lawyer before you open your trap. I would have insisted I was sh*t-face drunk even if I wasn't.

Not saying the tw*t deserved to get shot.....but it's apparent from him ignoring repeated warnings that he didn't give a crap about anyone but himself and should have realized what country he was living in. And I bet his death wasn't from getting hit with a .22 caliber bullet.....it was probably from him hitting the pavement without a helmet.
So it's ok to run an open pipe during "holy hours"? And what exactly is "holy hours"......and why would that make an illegal action legal?

Not trying to "blame the victim" here.....but there comes a time when stupidity starts to become dangerous. Never mind, I am blaming the victim. The councilman should be given a reward, not a prison sentence.
