Very simple . Just take your Phil Health card to the payment clerk ( not da Phil Health booth ) and tell them if you want to make a quarterly payment or whatever . They will give you a receipt . If you are delinquent .....it does not matter ........you need not pay retroactively ! Maybe the only way to be sure that payment was credited is to go back in a couple days and ask the lady for a status update .

Yes, but most of the time I have tried to make the payments at anyplace other than PhilHealth the business like banks don't have the right paperwork etc... Happened at UCPB and BPI both.

There is a form in western union which is red in colour which you fill out and pay,you need to keep this for when you pay mext time,my Mrs always pays in western union so cannot say about lbc etc.
when I registered my son I just showed them the live birth cert and all was ok and he was added with no fuss.
You do not need to go to go to to the Phil health office at all to pay, just go to western union or any other outlet which accepts payments for philhealth as long as you're on their system. As log as you have the western union reciept or where ever you pay you're covered.

I believe you need to have had Philhealth for a period of time and be in good standing to be able to use it. Your "policy" was probably backdated for those months you paid for before you actually came in and signed up. I have heard people say that if you are delinquent and admitted to the hospital someone should run down and make the payment and any ah, irregularities will be overlooked.

Yes , once you sign on with PhilHealth , a minimum of 90 days must pass for it to become effective. No bills are ever sent.

I am a 70 year old Australian, will be coming over to Dumaguete in July. I will need good health insurance cover for myself, Filipina wife and 9 year old son. I have been reading the comments on this thread to get some ideas to which would be the best medical insurance. Is anyone with Blue Cross and if so what are the costs for cover for my family. Phil Health seems to be popular but pretty basic cover.
