Another expat caught with bullet at Dgte airport

Bullets and other metal objects light up like Christmas lights on x-ray (even more so with backscatter technology). The more dense an object the darker it appears.....and bullets have a very distinct shape and size. There aren't many common items that look like them.


Note that the color, brightness and contrast can all be adjusted by the x-ray operator.....which makes identifying objects much easier.

I had gotten away with carrying lighters through security for years by making sure to throw it in the same compartment that I have loads of loose change in.....until my gf cleaned out all the change without telling me, and sure enough, I had 2 lighters confiscated. This is one reason why they make you remove your laptop and electronic devices from your back.
