I have a Rouser 180 and I'm happy with it. For the cost being significantly cheaper then similar options you can't go to wrong. The issue I have is the seat's aren't so comfortable for me but I just have one of those bums that is hard to please as well. As far as speed goes first handles between 1-10/15ish in town alright but I usually try and stay in second and try real hard to avoid those nasty traffic areas at the wrong time even if it means going an odd way but I just hate traffic and traffic idiots.

I bought mine at Eversure which is on the national highway past St. Paul heading to Sibulan on the right side. They are pretty much the only place to offer financing to foreigners but your GF generally needs to co-sign. If paying cash outright the cheapest place for a rouser would be probably at GUD but I hate their service after my old Rouser 135 and them screwing up a couple things. Eversure I'm thinking cash price is about 68,500 if I recall but will surely beat overpriced Emcor.

IF your willing for 2nd hand you could try Marlow who is the owner of Taco Tayo's on the highway past Robinson's heading towards Bacong. He buys a few used gently owned motors foreigner style like the Rouser and has his own mechanic shop he gets them fixed up real nice at. I think currently he has 3-4 for sale last I checked. If you PM me I could give you his number if your interested. He only deals with clean titles and such I believe as well so no issue with that. Plus the benefit of that is you may be able to test drive one while other places are seriously anal on that.

 

I have come close to buying a 180 a couple of times. I keep backing off because I am worried about leaning forward too much because of my screwed up back. I'm sure I could get risers to move the handlebars 1" up and 1" back but think the cables would be too tight then. Have you priced a replacement or modifying the seat? I read somewhere (impossible for me to remember where after so much reading) a guy had an extra 1" of padding added to a seat and it made all the difference.

How is the maneuverability in city traffic compared to a smaller underbone bike (I have only ridden a XRM 125 and Avenger 220 here for comparison).

I live behind Lord Byron's so I can just zip over to Taco Tayo in the next day or two.

 

Oh ya, them too. Pretty sure my back wouldn't like it, nerve damage from being blown up (much more like Sgt Hulka in Stripes than finding an IED). Wrists and arms should get used to it but my back hurts every day as it is. Big part of why finding a bike is such a pain in the a$$, um wrist, um arms, um back for me

 

I have back issues as well and the Rouser is no issue for me. Longer rides my arms are fine but hands get a bit sore which I counter with a simple pair of rider gloves for those longer hauls. As far as the seat its on my *to do list* which means it gets pushed back again and again due to other financial responsibilities. No idea where to get the seat done though but friends have said any of the leather workers in town can do it while I'd rather a better recommendation.

As far as traffic maneuvering it does fine. Its not as agile as one of those tiny bikes but for a midsize bike I don't see how it could get any better. I also love the wider tires as more traction.

 

I just chatted with a guy on another forum with a bad back. A friend of his has a Serow 250 and he has Rouser 200NS. They both had 1" of padding added to their seats and he says it helps a lot. They are in Cebu so doesn't help with a referral but pricing was about p700

 

I'm watching this thread with interest in case you find a local guy who does a good job with that. Even on my couch at home I need to sit on a pillow so an 1" of padding on the ole Rusi would be a blessing.

 

I recently bought the 200ns from gud moto across from silliman there was a problem with the 1st gen 200ns with bad oil seals on the water pump (now improved type) mine went out at 800km gud moto called in a Kawasaki mechanic that day and replaced the seal and flushed the engine and cooling system 3 times they also removed both the case covers and cleaned the gear box and wet clutch. work was done in a professional manor with all new seals and gaskets i was impressed. as far as the bike goes i would highly recommend it is comfortable to ride i also have back issues and am almost 6ft 235lb seat is fine for me but might upgrade later, on FB there is a few rouser groups and i found someone that makes a rear carrier with sidebag attachments, over all even after the problem i would still recommend the bike i know gud has more in the warehouse right now my wife's uncle works there.

 

I will never go back to GUD after all the issues I had with them with my first Rouser 135 in 2011. I bought it and didn't know how to drive a clutch yet (had a friend who would teach me) so I asked them to deliver it as I planned to only learn and practice later at night on non busy small roads near where I lived. When delivering it it stalled and they had a number of issues and had to walk it back to their shop. I said I wanted a new non problematic one as they sold me the showcase bike and they said no because the paperwork had already been written up but only like an hour before. I had to settle after a lengthy argument with them *fixing* my new bike and they found water in the tank and some nasty gunk built up inside the gas cap that should have been obvious to them yet they ignored it instead hiding it from me. I continued to have issues for the first couple of months having to get it checked every now and then and they kept blaming me or something not their fault.

Further with GUD they damaged my oil bin (or whatever its called) by tighening the bolt to tight which created a leak and damaged it. When questioned them about it they blame some other mechanic who changed my oil and when I informed them I only ever went to their shop to have service done and oil changes they continued to blame someone else having no idea who.

So many issues with that bike from the start and their uncaring about selling a defective bike. They will never get more business from me or any recommendations.
