    Got our paper work for rego renewal back today after nearly 3 weeks waiting.....but no stickers for the number plates o windscreen yet......told we could be waiting up to 45 dsays for them........is that usual............??...........and also was told the new numbert plates could be up to a year to get.........smile

    Very usual for stickers! My plates took 5 months to get,it came with permanent windscreen sticker,plates and security bolts.

    Been waiting for our new plates and stickers for our little van since october 10 last year and text our emission test centre each month to follow up and texed again today and have been told that the new plates have stopped production due to the investigation into the production of the plates and payment to contractor etc and do not know when we will recieve our new plates and stickers.................it is more fun here in the philippines..........guess we will get our reciept laminated for the long run........smile

    Yeah, wouldn't be expecting to get your plates anytime soon; maybe in another 5-10 years. Really doesn't matter though, nobody gives a crap if you have plates or not.

    Yes nobod
    yes nobody seems to care and curuption is rife........smile............any body know a easy way to get a drivers licence here instead of going through the complications..........??

    Go to the LTO and tell them you need a drivers license. It's not that difficult and should only take half a day. The LTO branch at Robinsons is probably the best option.

    Last year April I paid a total amount of 3790 peso for a pick up, including 450 peso for new plate numbers (I received in September last year) and 300 peso fixing or handling fee but excluded insurance.

    So all the processing eg medical, pictures can be done at the robinsons outlet, dont have to go to down town office at all.........??

    Correct.

    There was a small medical place next to the LTO branch at Robinsons that did the medical last time I was there. They take the pictures at the LTO. Depends which way the wind is blowing if a drug test will be required.
