    Asylum seekers refused to leave the bus when they arrived at their destination in rural northern Sweden, demanding that they be taken back to Malmö or "some big city".

    When the transport arrived at a housing centre in Grytan south of Östersund the asylum-seekers didn't like the look of what they saw.

    "I am 75-years-old and come from the Middle East. Then I get sent to a place that looks like this," said a man from Syria to the local Östersunds-Posten daily, pointing to the icy road.

    "It is dangerous for me to be here," he said.

    The asylum-seekers, who originate from several countries, refused to leave the bus when it arrived at the small Swedish town. The police were called to assist at the scene but declined to help in escorting the group from the bus.

    The group is demanding that they be returned to Malmö or some other bigger city.

    "They were disappointed when they arrived here. It was cold and is not a big city. It is difficult for the police to do anything. We can't eject them from the bus - the matter must first be dealt with by the Enforcement Service (Kronofogden)," said Bengt Stadin at Jämtland police.     Well, I have been wondering why there are not enough refugee camps set up in the Middle East. Saudi has plenty of dough -- so do many other ME nations. The weather is the same or similar, the culture is similar, the predominate religion is similar, the spoken language is similar, the customs and courtesies are similar -- at least an easier adaptation for the refugees in the Middle East areas that are "peaceful" or more stable. Why aren't the ME countries stepping in and doing MORE than they are currently doing for their ME Brothers and Sisters in dire need?

    And why aren't the European countries not asking their ME nation-neighbors to step up and do more? I realize one or two of the ME countries are claiming they are at the brim with immigrants and some cannot take any more. But what of the others?

    Methinks these countries need to stop being be part of the problem and begin to become part of the solutions.

    I don't blame the refugees -- but I do wish the European nations and the US could put this issue (and others) at the feet of the ME nations as THEY ought to be the first-line solution leaders with this forced diaspora of ME peoples, many of who would prefer to be temporarily sheltered closer to their home countries anyway.

    Why aren't these ME countries practicing what they preach - to be their brother's keeper in times of need, too? It's not as if the ME is a bunch of Broke-a$$ nations....

    Methinks it may be time to re-set the storyline AND the punchline here. When you play a part in the breaking of something (intentionally, "accidentally", or through "benign neglect/ignorance" - whatever the excuse), then you do have a part to play in the restitution and/or reconstruction.

    You break it -- you buy it.

    There plenty of flat sandy areas in the Middle East and just right for tented city's! Why should the eu take them,they do t fit in anywhere and all they do when they get established is try to turn things to their advantage with crazy laws which they bring with them.
    The eu is a soft touch with nanny governments who bow down to these poor refugees and give them pretty much what they want inc houses,benefits and vehicles in some cases,I doubt they would get any of that in the Middle East anywhere.
    The Middle East has plenty of oil money so let them keep them!

    With a bit of luck we might get our country back on June the 23rd so just maybe things may change! It will also be the end for Cameron which would also be a good thing. If the uk says out it will be the end of the European Union within 5 years as there are others waiting to see how we get on.

    The Saudis are rich in relation to their size/population but they have had to cut back due to the price of oil. At present income Saudis would be broke in about 6 years (from news reports and analysis some say 5 years). I believe with the cuts that the revolution would come before then. The Saudi people were promised billions of dollars in public works so they wouldn't stage their own arab spring. The house of Saud will renege on that at their peril. Third generation welfare recipients get testy when they think they are not getting their due. Dangerous to control your population by putting them on the payroll and requiring nothing from them except they not revolt. What can they do to show their displeasure when the money is reduced or stops? The one thing you were paying them not to do?

    Well, the US is now over 17 trillion in debt -- and rising. Almost 25% of this debt was due to our being in a "war mode" for over a decade in the ME. Now who is the broke-a$$ nation?

    Where is the House of Saud today? And where was the House of Saud in all this? And all the other ME nations? The House of Saud was busy making trillions of USD from worldwide oil sales and becoming the third largest military firepower nation in the ME (Israel and Iran are #1 & #2).

    Middle East Powers Ranked by Military Strength

    When did the House of Saud ever give a meaningful crap to any nation or people outside of it's own borders?

    I don't have any meaningful solutions to much of this mess. But I know I am tired of thinking that my nation has lost a lot of blood and treasure for a whole lot of what? - nothing.

    If solutions are to be genuine and real, methinks it takes ACTIVE participation from ALL nations in the ME, too. Otherwise, those non-ME nations who DO the heavy lifting in/for/on behalf of the ME will continue to be treated like the "Nanny-State a$$-wipes" the House of Saud thinks we are as that's the perception many Americans have of how Saudi Arabia has treated their non-Muslim nation-friends (US/EU/UK, etc.).
