And that is one of the wonderful things about FB. If they did not have FB, they would have their noses buried in your stuff...." what ya doing?" ... "who was that girl you looked at?"... "why are you walking that way?", "you know what I heard about your X?" and the famous "did you know about ......". Facebook is to Filipina Gfs like TV is to a three year old... an electronic baby sitter. The easiest way to get a GF off your butt is to buy her a smart phone with FB capabilities and let her start being dumb to reality.
Works for me... we have reality time in our house... no Cellphone from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM. unfortunately she wakes early and gets her fix before 6:30 AM.

 

I was once "told" by a young lady that her sister had beat her because she did not bring home money or food. When I asked about involving the policy to my helper (not involved in this) she told me that it was a family thing and the police would not get involved. Just agreeing, when I foreigner is involved everything changes.

Unless they convict him they really can't do any of that because its all heresay and unproven. It would be completely ignored as no *fair* trial was ever given. But if they do convict it means no bribe and the person goes to jail if convicted instead of just being kicked out. Further if goes to a jury the chance of finding serious flaws in the investigation or complaint that if gets leaked out by chance could make the Philippines look even more corrupt (I know right?).

Plus in the end what evidence is there that he was holding her and the child against her will or that the bruises came from him and not someone else or even herself? Take her word for it and the family which only knows what she posts on facebook? Hence why a blotter is required along with a medical exam. To many holes to get a strong conviction.
