Hi again, just a thought this morning. Are there post office boxes for rent in Valencia?

 

Getting bank statements sounds seriously unappealing to me. It's best to keep any sensitive information out of the physical mail system. Imagine someone intercepting your mail and seeing your bank account statements. They could follow that up with a home invasion and a trip to the ATM. I'm not trying to scare you away, but these things do happen.

 

Hi, thank you exactly the reason why I am asking around from your good selves. Any thoughts or experiences on post office boxes?

 

I personally have not had ever a paper Statement from My bank here, if ever I need one (Rarely) I print one off from my IT banking.

I would keep my bank statements out of the mail system, period. There's no reason for that information to be floating around when you could access it digitally.

WHEN I MOVED HERE, WE WENT TO THE BANK AND TALKED TO THE MANAGER! SHE HAPPENED TO BE MY WIFE'S AUNT! SHE TOOK MY INFORMATION, CONTACTED THE S.S.S. AND NEXT MONTH STARTED RECEIVING MONEY! NOW THE MAIL IS DIFFERENT! WE WENT TO POSTAL SERVICE, GAVE THEM ALL INFO! THEN WENT TO LOCAL POSTAL SERVICE, ZAMBOANGUITA! NOW WE GET TO KNOW THIS GUY, BECAUSE HE CAN DELIVER MAIL TO YOUR DOOR, OR TX YOU AND YOU CAN GO PICK IT UP! THAT SAVES AT LEAST 3 DAYS! BUT IN CHECKING THE POST STAMPED ON THE BACK, IT IS STILL 3-4 WEEKS!! SOMETIMES THE MAIL IS HOT OR NEEDS ANSWERED WITHIN A TIME FRAME! LIKE A SS QUESTIONNAIRE, GOTTA BE RETURNED WITHIN 19 DAY'S! FUNNY HOW THAT SS MAIL GETS TO ME FASTER THAN ALL THE OTHER SCAM MAIL FROM THE STATES!

 

If you are moving here from the UK be ready to forget about what you new as postal service, electricity service, water service, internet service, telephone service and just service in general..... oh and throw away your highway code book, not required here, be ready to start afresh......
