Can someone direct me to a good bakery here in the city that makes good foreigner style bread..I know its asking alot but a nice rye or pumpernickel would be asking alot..I searched and saw a german bakery in Valencia but rather find local here if I can.......
My son's GF is a waitress at Anna Marie's bakeshop across from the down town Jollibee near Lee Plaza. I haven't been there but she brings home the best and richest chocolate brownies, delicious chocolate cake and very good wheat bread, she says they have good coffee and many other things. in my opinion what I have tried is by far the best I have had in the Philippines.
Bread is the most general thing you could be asking about in foreigner style. I grew up eating cheeseburgers on white "Wonderbread" bread. After like two bites the bread would be gone and you would just have a slab of meat with mystery cheese on top. The Greeks probably invented something like cheese. The US invented TV dinners. The bread you want probably depends on the region you are from. I suggest you get out and look yourself rather than sending the wife / GF because they probably have no clue what you are talking about.
Give me a couple of proper french baguettes and a pound of butter. I would die a happy man. A little red wine would be my desert. yum..
Thanks Gentlemen..I tryed Lee Plaza and bought some "Hearty and Healthy" what the package said..Terrible taste and was sweet..I tryed Cang's and there was nothing to be had..So I decided to rent a motorbike and found Ludwigs there in Valencia..I purchased a loaf of there Rye for 150p..The loaf was really heavy so I knew it should be good and it was..Next time I will try the Why Not bread...Thanks again all..
I know a good foreign bakery, very nice bread like sourdough, rye bread and so on.....it's in bajumpandan and the very nice thing is they deliver for free as soon ready in dumaguete and near by. So very fresh and reasonable priced......
