    I don't know.
What originally brought you to the Philippines?
My reasons are not so original  Caring wife pinay , retirement, cheaper life, friendly people , sea & sun, and some exotic sides clichés.
My second question could be: what made you thinking about moving Duma?.
Have made a wrong choice planning to settle in my wife's Quezon province,
A french friend of mine living in Duma told me his expat life,
A couple of clichés well known on line: high ranking, gentle people, close by touristic spots..
But the crucial reason is how a frenchy can survive with no daily bread. So I claim to check the taste of bread on site in the next days. That friend is being a french Baker and recently sales french style bread. ( no adress no advertising

That friend could become a member and Create a Show case or you can even, Bread supply comes up quite often and he could do well.
We could all do well as I myself am a Liker of french Bread. If you are not too sure have a Word with Dustin Wrye83 about this

I'm not here for a long time, so not sure if I'm qualified to answer what brought me here) Still, I chose this place over others because of good vibe in the city - quiet place without pushy people, opportunity to sit near the sea and enjoy it without lots of tourists, and also higher safety level at nights (comparing to Cebu, for example).

I am happy I chose here. Initially; I came here to be with my Wife and Daughter, but there are so many bonuses to living here compared to living back in Australia. Here is a much slower pace of life, I really love the back to basics life I have lead here the past 3 or 4 years, eating fresh foods daily, especially steering clear of a lot of the processed food I use to eat back in Oz. Changing my dietary intake here has worked wonders for my health. For me; life here is much cheaper. Instead of scraping by week to week I am able to invest half of my Pension towards buying land for our future together, something I never would have been able to afford back in Australia. I am hoping to start building a house in the next 18 months/ 2 years, again, an impossible dream back in Oz. Electricity here is but a fraction (1/10th) of what I paid back in Oz. Some food items are expensive but adapting to the local lifestyle and learning to eat the local foods has helped a lot, both health-wise and financially. I guess after my first visit here, I like living life as I did as a kid, pretty much care-free and back to basics, which is what bought me back instead of going through all of the hassles of bring my Wife and Daughter back to Oz. I am thankful I found my patch...
