Does anybody know of someone whom can reset a digital odometer and replace leds on the circuit board. Mine has reverted to zero km's after battery replaced. Don't want it clocked just reset to correct mileage. Tried Hyundai, but they didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
Try a used car dealer. I looked at several used cars on their lots and found almost all their car at close to 50Km in varying conditions from almost clapped out to units that actually may actually have 50KM on them. Someone out there may know how to twiddle an odometer.
Hyundai Accent Crdi 1.5 16v 2010 48,000 kms. Mileage can only be reset by accessing the eeprom chip on the instrument panel. Odometer is now up to 280 kms.Trip meter records trip and can be reset to zero.
I think you are going to have a hell of a time finding someone in Dumaguete that has the tools and/or software plus the knowledge to fix that...especially if the Hyundai dealership didn't know what to do. (Did you break it down "Barney style", point to the odometer with a stick and use caveman English or have a translator when you went to the one in Dumaguete?) Might need to make a trip to a Hyundai service center in Cebu. I'd give them a call or email them before wasting a trip to Cebu though. When I spoke to their chief technician and asked him if they could reset the eeprom chip,it was like a deer caught in headlights. Time stood still while I waited for a reply, he nearly said out of stock, before he remembered that he was the chief technician.
