Help! Someone Using my Email

I am getting yahoo failure messages someone is using my email account. My laptop and iphone were stolen. I have changed passwords.

 

About all you can do Pat unless you go the PITA way and cancel the account and do a new one.

Edward, the thieves put my dog to sleep then pushed opened my front window screen and reached through my security grill and pulled out my laptop then took a long stick and fished out my bag with iPhone, wallet, etc. I have since added CCTV, additional security grills, permanent night light, a second dog, and I bring my s**t into the bedroom at night. Maybe Duterte had the a******s killed by now.

 

Many smart phones poll the email server on occasion to update the phone email cache. It's possible you are seeing your phone doing that because your email account wasn't removed and it connecting to the email server and trying to do this. It's possible that someone is not trying to get in and it's just your phone doing its thing. Recently yahoo mail added some security feature that forces you to use with their app or a more secure client. I don't know if the new security feature is supported on the iPhone. I saw this on my android, but maybe the iPhone mail client is fine, even though my email wasn't compromised. I'd bet that's the issue.

It may not even by because of those theives. Yahoo has had numerous hacks where 10's of millions of login and pw information was stolen. It may be stolen one month and not even used for a year due to the number of them they have stolen.
