I've been checking the google play store everyday now.
There has been conflicting reports on when the release date is, hopefully soon.
Maybe we can come together and exchange tips and locations on where pokemon are.
    See you around trainers

Pretty sure that game has been released in the West already. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on reviews and news about the game.....some of it pretty insane, like home owners getting paranoid about people sitting outside their homes for extended periods of time completing game tasks, people getting robbed and even one murder being witnessed in a live stream.

To those that have no idea what this game is, it is a game that uses your phone's gps/real location for actual game play. The 'game world" is based off of real geographical location and players that are in your physical location are competitors/allies/enemies. One of the first real life "social" games.

I don't personally know sh*t about Pokémon (only spelled right because my phone's spellchecker corrected me) but the game is extremely popular and its worldwide bandwidth usage has quickly taken over some of the top mobile apps spots. If i were 20 years younger this might be something i could really get in to.

True there are some drawbacks to the game, but on the bright side its bringing people outdoors again.
Especially kids who don't know how to play outside anymore.

Before this Pokemon thing there was Geocaching far better to find a psychical box with goodies than an imaginary image! Geocaching takes you to far and wide places of interest with a gps and there are many different sorts of caches.
A good family hobby for the kids also, there aren't many here though,I think only 4-5 locally on southern Negros.

A Pokemon Go player called 999 to report stolen Pokemon.

The emergency call was made at 11:15 BST on Friday, the day after the hit smartphone game was launched in the UK, Gloucestershire Police said.

The operator ended the conversation "swiftly" after giving "words of advice" about when it was appropriate to call 999, a spokesman said.

I am in the US, I don't have the game, nor am I interested. I will say this, the way it works allows people (anyone) to place "characters" in various locations, and there are stories of nefarious people leading others to bad locations to assault/rob them, etc. Also, people getting injured while staring at their phones, getting hit by cars, falling down, etc....I am not sure it will be a good thing there all things considered.....

Stupid people have been finding ways to hurt/kill themselves doing things that the VAST majority of people do safely every single day.
See this link for examples: Darwin Awards. Chlorinating The Gene Pool.
A few idiots should not ruin it for the rest of humanity.

This game will be huge for pushing augmented reality. This is a silly app, but the space will get pushes hard now. More useful apps will follow along with a flood of more silly apps.
