Manila - The Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa said Thursday at a hearing of the Senate Committee on public order and dangerous drugs that a total of 1,564 drug suspects were killed from July 1 to August 15 ,
    - Delarosa says, in addition to the 665 killed in police operations , were 899 more allegedly murdered by unknowns. According to Delarosa police determined in all 899 cases, there were previously but only to 22 charges, all in the National Capital Region. MIB 08/20/2016 - 3:40

This one is hurting my brain: Are they saying that out of the 899 people murdered by "unknowns" there were 22 people charged with murder? (Can't press charges against an "unknown" person....can ya? :hmmm:) Or of the 899 cases only 22 of the victims had been previously charged with a crime? Or.....something else?

Not really clear, but I think the point is you have a lot of people being murdered who haven't even been charged with a crime. :sneaky:

Well if they were killed by the police or "unknowns" the chances they were taken to the police station to be formally charged with any crime are quite slim.

Can one not ask a question? I guess the answer is you don't know. I thought you might have a source or link. Some of those people might have been out on bond, arrested, charged but not tried yet.

The thing is Wrye, this is a google translation from German to English. The rest of the article I revised as good as I could but did not know what to do with <According to Delarosa police determined in all 899 cases, there were previously but only to 22 charges> since this is not very clear to me either.

Obviously, the "herd thinning" is going as planned then.
