Again you fail to answer the question and respond with some counter mumbo jumbo. Let me explain it to you. I was providing an interpretation/opinion on what the meaning was and agreeing with Wrye. I wasn't even talking to you. I think it's pretty clear it was my interpretation, but I guess Wrye could take a survey and see if my thought was that tough to follow. If I took you to task for all your opinions, I'd flood the forum. The difference between you and me is I'm not playing games, like you are. Your question was rhetorical and actually more of a statement dressed up as a question, therefore nothing to answer. Saying "I think" should have clued you in. Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm wrong, but you didn't offer any specifics to point one way or the other. i.e you added no value.
And you are still not adding any value. All you had to say was that you had no more information than was already contained in the thread. If you want to challenge any of my statements or opinions, go ahead. Have at it. When you post, you are speaking to the entire community. Did you think you were private messaging?
Now that's not very nice to say my opinion has no value. A large portion of this forum is opinions. Opinions on what we like, what we don't like, etc. You offered no opinion or facts, you were just offering negativity. Of course, I realize that everyone is seeing this and as I'm sure you do. That doesn't seem to bother you, since you chose the venue. You started this little conversation, it's only fair that I get a say. Did you think you were using private messaging? How about anytime you feel the need to comment on something I said in a negative way PM me and I'll do the same, that way we can spare the forum these antics. Off to yada, yada land.......
You left out the post I quoted when I said the post added no value to the thread, it was not your original post. If saying a post adds no value is not nice, then YOU were the first to open that can of worms. Nice try at spin though. If you post on a public forum, any public forum, be it facebook, twitter or whatever, your view may not be taken at face value, someone may question and it may be opposed outright. You seem to not realize that. You don't have to thank me for cluing you in. In your place I would have some questions for the people around me who didn't arm me with this needed knowledge.
Spoiler: The Manstruating Manginas Chronicles Guys, Please take a step back from this conversation for a week while you consider one of the options described below to prevent me from losing another 20+ minutes of my life forever. 1. Send a PM and sort out whatever the problem is. Example: 2. Start Ignoring each other and never see the other's posts. 3. User the Report button instead of engaging one another. I'm sure most of the forum users/readers would greatly appreciate it as well! Thanks in advance, Wrye83 P.S. If you absolutely must carry on with this relentless bitching back and forth could you at least try to make it just a tad f*cking interesting? I had to take a break half way through that pile of sh*t above to watch some paint dry just to living things up a bit.
Just curious, do you know Izzy? Some people who have not been in the Philippines for awhile and some who have been resident in the Philippines for a while still judge food by a foreign standard. Some people just really like great Mexican food and if anything is off, they aren't going to like it. It doesn't mean it isn't an honest reveiw. Izzy might give the same reveiw for a Taco Cabana in the US.
Hard to take anything more than a post with no substance out of Izzy's comments. The owner of Senorita's is very approachable and there 14 hours a day. I find it hard to believe that once notified of any problem with a meal there she would not have tried to make things right, exchange for a different item or take it off the bill. The fact the meal was traveling down the large intestine before the writer left is the first red flag.If I ever encountered a "worst meal" anywhere it would have been brought to the manager's attention after 1 or 2 bites, not cracked off about in a forum after clearing the plate. Easy here to attack a restaurant here after the evidence has turned to shite, offering no specifics to justify their comments. Constructive criticism, suggestions to management etc help restaurant owners provide a better venue for those who frequent their establishments. This is not a personal attack on the writer, just written from personal experiences as a restaurant owner who was able to resolve 9 times out of 10 make any issues with the food.
I never found anywhere Izzyb44 posted, stated or insinuated he "cleaned" his plate. I searched all of profile information, posts. Are there words being put into his mouth or posts attributed to him. Am I missing something? I hope a member is not being disparaged, or made fun of because because he gave personal opinion contrary to someone else's opinion. Izzyb44's post may have been harsh, but it would be nice not to put words into someone's mouth or food either by saying he cleaned his plate. Original post: was the only post I found. I know the poster is rather harsh in his opinion and the poster has only posted 5 times, one more time than 73 JT who is coming back at him the first time. Discounting some one's opinion that does not agree with you does not encourage honest posting either. Members rely on posst for making decisions. Everyone had different tastes in food. How about stating your own point or opinion with out making fun of someone else, disparaging them or discounting their opinion. Opinions are opinions and every one has one. (you know the full quote),
What I'll say we can take from this is a few things. 1. Everyone has a right to their own opinion (unless you disagree with me then stfu up *jk*) 2. When making a review try and say a bit of details on what was liked or disliked. Things like *best ever* or *worst ever* and just that is fairly worthless on its own. 3. No need to attack others or their opinions but questioning how they arrived at such an opinion is fine. 4. Everyone has different tastes and quite honestly everyone has different opinions on what XYZ food should or shouldn't taste like. Eat Mexican food in Tijuana or near the border will result in different taste then way down south in Mexico. Eat Tex-Mex food and you must accept its not true Mexican food most of the time same as eating at whatever *Mexican* restaurant way up in the NE US is likely different still. Same goes for pretty much every other ethnic food. Honestly I doubt many Americans I know in the US could stand real Chinese food w/o whining and complaining that its not authentic because it doesn't taste like their favorite Chinese takeout in the US even if they are dining in Shanghai when they make the complaint!
Right, and once again, Do you know Izzy? Were you there eating with him? Izzy didn't start a thread about the restaurant so I doubt it is a professional hatchet job. Some people are what the restaurant business call "bad customers" those who won't complain so the management has a chance to fix it but will never go back and yes they sometimes do give a review of the food. It is not the customers responsibility to tell the management if something is substandard. The management needs to put the customers on the payroll if they intend to burden them with a responsibility. I am one such bad customer. I don't work for the restaurant, I don't have to tell them anything. I don't go around slamming places as a general rule, I just don't go back. But if someone else brings it up, I very well may share my experience as I have every right to do. I'm not responsible for anyone else's business unless they are paying me.
