Contractually through the HOA or hold HOA meetings and embarass them by not letting them in because the meeting is for members who have dues up to date. Put them in covenrtry (state of ostracism or exile).

Wish I could, but remember "I am only a guest in this country". :frown: I was wondering if Duterte's hot line numbers or the Davao Death Squad could be of any assistance?. :o o:

I hear you Dave. It will have to come from another Filipino. Surely they are not all pleased with the situation? 25% may be too many anyway, I said if 5% were bad apples that is one thing, 25% sounds like they can hold out until everyone joins them. If there are no repercussions, everyone will join the non-payers or move away eventually.

More people should know they're not paying their dues. How about airing your complaints on the radio?

And then you have a defamation case on your hands.

I question whether that would really rise to the level of defamation?

The whole Godzilla family is in the Philippines. Papa corruption, Mama shabu, and their kids needing to be spoon fed, eating out even if they don't have money. Their relatives couldn't get a job so they are given the task to prepare the 7 year old named bratty who thinks it's horrible to learn putting socks on. Duterte is busy!

Question it all you like, the law is very clear:
libel is defined as a public and malicious imputation of a crime, or of a vice or defect, real or imaginary, or any act, omission, condition, status or circumstance tending to discredit or cause the dishonor or contempt of a natural or juridical person, or to blacken the memory of one who is dead.

The law in the Philippines is VERY different than most common sense defamation laws. It does not matter if what you say is true or not, if your intent was to harm, shame or discredit a person you risk spending 2+ years in prison.

I suppose you can't complain about the food either then. Watch out for Foodnet then in that case.
