Day 2. #1 was a disaster. Can I swear on here??? OK, I got stuck at the last minute needing shelter from the storm (life) and I took a shot on this place on the water in Macong as we can't get into Maria & Pascal's "Marpas Apts." on the way to Valencia, until the 7th. The wife of the duo who own this place was nice enough to leave her 2-yr. old and come get us at the airport (for 500-P) and to compound the drama her Baby daddy is in Germany taking on some health issues. I'm not dogpiling on the rabbit here but it was awful, we didn't sleep a wink and when we finally got an Internet connection I immediately sniveled to Maria (Marpas Apts) and she hooked me up at Sea Dream,,,,,,,in Dauin. It is the best 5-hours, so far, of my 1-month and 1-day stay here in Ph. thus far. This place is reasonable, a great value. I'm loving it and I hope after a day of doing nothing but lounging in and AT the pool and drinking Tanduay I'll get responsible and find digs for the long haul. Feeling really good after doing some self grousing about the date I would return to the states as my awful night unfolded all around me last night. Peaks & Valleys, ya???

 

Day 2. Kinda' liking the vibe here. It's an adjustment though. I'm "white" and I'm "soft. That said I've driven Mexico N to S 3-times. Central America, Venezuela, Columbia. OH. You've sussed me out. I'm a masochist. Thanks for the DAP.

You might want to check out Hermogina Apartments in Dumaguete. 1/2 km south of Robinson Place mall, I have walked it door to door in less than 7 minutes many times. You can find it on google maps by searching for "Lord Byron's back ribs", the apartments are behind Lord Byron's. p10,000 for a studio and p18,000 for a 2 bedroom unless their prices have changed. Furnished, internet and cable tv included.
