Been at this bar since 5 PM. This has been an average night out for me in the US. This is just me drinking and eating. The most expensive night out was in Savannah, GA at $90 for the night...though that night involved a whole lot of alcohol. Good thing I'm getting a good per diem to cover my vices. lol

    FYI: $10 tip.

Hmmm... I understand "Barcardi" and I understand "Quesadilla" but what is a "Duke"? A $12.00 charge for a cheap night of fun? Was that a barfine item? I hope you are not going back to your old ways. Are you still on the "home team" or have you switch sides (the receipt says "Home Team Grill"? Looks like you are adjusting to your new job, and the US too. lol

LoL The "Duke" was a huge turkey sandwich with chips. Nowhere near worth $12...but it's pub grub so I don't really expect much. The issue I have is the alcohol prices.

Yesterday I had a 20 oz bone in ribeye at Logans Roadhouse with rolls (good), fries, cinnamon apples and a coke. Meal $24.99. Coke $2.59 (2 refills). Subtotal $27.58. Tax $2.27. Total $29.85. Tip was $5. It gave me the strength to go shop electronics.

The food prices aren't what bothers me, it's the d*mn alcohol prices...at least here in Virgina. So maybe I should have titled it "My Booze with the US".

Tried to switch to beer tonight but that wasn't much better.

$10 for two (domestic) beers is a bit ridiculous.

Switching back over to rum and coke...and with Bacardi 151 (which doesn't taste a d*mn bit like rum ) since I can't even taste the alcohol with how much these bartenders skimp on the alcohol. (I had 12 rum and cokes one night last week and didn't even have a good buzz at the end of the night.)
