For those who don't know, water is generally off in Valencia when it is dark outside. Usually back on 5am-ish. Well it is 9:30am and still no water pressure, anybody know why or how to find out?
Water off when dark...................any specific reason for that. Brown outs may be more frequently than desired but water is available 24/7 in Sibulan.
The water engineers office is located inside the Gym building. You must live on the north side of Valencia because on the south side it stays on all the time except when the rains cause the river to clog up the water intakes in the mountains.
Yup, just North of Duma highway No idea what the reason is but it has been off every night since we moved here in October. Sometimes as early as 4:30pm, sometimes as late as 10:30pm, sometimes 90% reduction, usually 100% off. 11:15am just checked it, up to 20% pressure now so almost able to take an adequate shower (non-tabo)
I don't know why that side of Valencia has a water problem. I asked once and did not get a real answer. At night my water pressure is soo high it can break things.
We are told they shut off valve at night, and send the water somewhere else, down the 3 inch pipe running along legarda st. The pipe was put in a year or so back, and our water is shut off every night also. Rumors are, water is for Siquijor!
It wouldn't really bother me if that was the hours. Off usually between 4:30pm and 7:30pm. I like a late shower so I don't go to bed sweaty and I really like to clean the kitchen after dinner. Somebody has their head up and locked turning it off so d*mn early all the time. Obviously they don't live on this side of town.
Water was normal (for here) yesterday, on at 4:30am, off 7:30pm or so. Today, on at 4:30am, off at 5pm already WTF!!!! feel free to ignore this post, just ranting and blowing off steam - while still being factual.
Have you asked the water department what the issue is? The bamboo telegraph can be so unreliable here that it is silly to listen to it when you can go right to the source and ask what's going on....of course the employees at the source might be as clueless as the bamboo telegraph is. My guess would be that people are getting off work around those times and coming home and using the water for the same things you are. Some are probably filling up (or refilling) buckets and water tanks around that time as well. Another part of the problem might be due to the popular use of illegal water pumps. I've noticed that some nights the lines turn into a vacuum and start sucking air back into the lines.
