Hello and a fine day to you all. I am hoping that Dumaguete might be the place where I can give of my expertise in health services and entertainment and create a little joy for others in the doing of. I have extensive background in therapeutic massage and bodywork (deep tissue, etc) and would love to give a few private sessions and teach a few classes if possible. I also have a lot of creative ideas in entertainment (dance, stage plays, etc) that I am hoping might find others of like mind to co-create some events, dance classes and more. If you might have some information or suggestions to give as to whom to connect with and such, please let me know if you will. Many blessings to you all
The place is very much a cultural desert, so anything creative is to be welcomed. Whether you can make a living from it is another matter and others here (who have lived locally far longer than I have) are better placed to answer that.
Hi , nice to know creative people coming to the area. I will be arriving in the first part of January and will be staying in the Valencia region. For ten years I have been working on a drug prevention and rehabilitation projects for the Brazilian government have excellent references from the highest governmental agencies. I integrated sports, arts, and cultura for young people. I do a specific type of art for which the Philippines has the perfect cultural and physical material to be used very inexpensively. I also worked in Brazil with the retired stage manager of Jimmy Hendrix on building a theatre and cultural center in Praia da Pipa. Are you familiar with some of the Brazilian dances like forro, and pagode? Would be very interesting and innovative to do some projects and very cool to see Philippino young people learn these. I have been on some fiestas in the Philippines last year and it seemed to me that most of them were just standing around instead of dancing and having fun. Completely different from the fiestas of Brazil. Let's get in touch in the middle part of January and talk over a delicious burrito in Valencia park. My email is : sistercities@msn.com I have excellent contacts with the European Union for financial aid if the projects are supported by the local government. Best regards, Zoltan
Cool...let's meet sometime and practice our Portuguese... hehehe I don't want to forget the beautiful melodical artistic language like yours.
