yes you can get the 13a in your home country and it is permanent, they will give you a sealed document to hand to the BI in manila ( i just havent gotten round to do it, but when i do it will be done in Ireland for sure)
do it at home man , trust me, once the balikbayan visa expires you will be subject to visa extension fees, acr fees and all the helpful knowledgeable people at the BI , the running around like an ape in the heat, photocopy this, come back next week its a holiday, sorry sir you overstay pay me extra
I do completely agree with other posters here: Do it in your home country. Less hassle and less money lost if it fails.
Have a question: After getting the 13a visa in your home country, how much time you have to enter the Philippines before it get expired?
Been looking at all the posts on the 13A visa and thinking of doing it, have been doing visa extensions for nearly 2.5yrs now and the 3yr stay will be over in October, we have been married nearly 4yrs now. Conversion to Non-Quota Immigrant Visa by Marriage Is the above link the last update...?? Thinking of making the application about late august. Looking through the checklist and was wondering as I have been here nearly 2.5yrs do I still need a police clearance from my own country of Australia..........?? Probably have a few other questions as time goes on.............thank you for all advice
It should take about 4/5 Weeks but that depends on you having all the Requirements, Once you have submitted it should be 30 days but again, This depends on Manila and the Holidays they take. When I did mine in Spain in 2009 it was only 22 Days But................... Things Change and at at this time I would look at 3 months
