I just (2 hours ago) saw 5 of these brand new, empty luxury tour busses heading past Sibulan on the way to downtown Dumaguete.

I am curious what they are here for. Any guesses? My guess would be a plane load of Chineses tourists coming to town as 5 of these busses would hold about 200 people and the Chinese LOVE their tour busses.

My wife says that these are Ceres Busses from Mindanao. They will be repainted and used here.

Rural transit, Ceres Liner, Bachelor express, and Southern Star bus lines are all subsidiaries of Vallacar Transit, originally of Bacolod. The company is a true Filipino success story, the original owner and brains having passed away just recently.
