The Red Cross Dumaguete website says the age limit is 18-59. I may donate some pesos to the patient to use to bribe some relatives or friends to donate. Mark
Bad news today. Jennifer passed away today at 11am in the hospital. R.I.P. (I hope the link is working. Can not open it on my CP.)
Link does not work. Very sad, I feel for the family, condolences to everyone who knew her... Having lost parents, a brother, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to cancer/leukemia over the years, I feel it is a relief once the suffering comes to an end. When my father was last diagnosed with cancer, from the exploratory Op, to him passing away in his sleep, was only 16 days, I am so thankful it was quick, unlike one uncle who was hospitalised for more than two years and died a long cruel death. What ANNOYS me is; back in the early 70's when my dad was in hospital to have his left lung removed due to cancer, we had people coming into the wards asking for donations to the Cancer fund telling us that a cure was just around the corner and every dollar donated would help research to find a cure, soooo close! Well I am still reading about 'Cancer cures just around the corner' and wonder, just wonder....
Link seems now correct and working. It seems that long link addresses are getting cut somehow. @Brian Oinks: that was you say about cures against cancer stuff is right around is even true today. They are still researching for cures. Some works while others are failing. On a different person it is the other way around. Quite often they use the wrong way to cure the cancer.
There will never be a single cure for "cancer". There are many different types of cancer that require different types of treatments. Sorry to hear about this. May she RIP.
Not in all cases. My Dr advised against using O- lest there be a bad reaction as it combined with my other probs. And this girl was already having probs w her kidneys
Can Can be true as there are very many antigens to account for and the ABO and Rhesus groups are but two. However, any further reactions would be detected with the blood agglutination tests done before the blood is administered.
