I was reclined in my lawn chair apprx 9:30 tonight, half star gazing/half dozing off when I opened my eyes to see this V shaped thing silently gliding by. "Jesus Christ" I muttered to myself...It was heading in basically a northerly direction. I couldn't see much of it, and it was gone in 5 seconds or so. There was no indication that the area inside the V was solid-though it might have been. It was very very faint, only lit up by the reflection of city lights etc. perhaps. Altitude or size? Who knows..it wasn't anywhere near as high commercial airliners. If it was it would have been huge. Maybe 5000' up; if it was at 10,000' it would have very very big. I later spread my thumb and forefinger apart holding them up to the night sky to gauge size and about 5" between them would have been the size-but it's all relative to altitude isn't it? Definitely it was something weird..
It was very faint against the sky. If you weren't accidentally looking right at it like I was you wouldn't have seen it. I'm thinking now it was only a few thousand feet up
A few weeks back whilst at the water pump I looked up and saw a very bright ball of light appear for approximately 4 seconds then it disappeared to the West, no cloud cover and very very bright! I assumed it was the Space Station as it was much larger and brighter than the usual Satellites you see crossing the night sky...
International Space Station The ISS should be visible in the Philippines this time of year, but only early in the morning.
This was about 8:30/9:00pm or thereabouts, it wasn't a meteor as it had no tail/ no streak of light, was a bright round ball maybe 3 times the size of Venus that traveled for about 4 seconds, it appeared out of nowhere on a clear star lit night and disappeared just as quick so I assumed it picked up enough of the suns light to reflect from it before disappearing, and from facing south, it appeared from around the 1 o'clock position to the 2 o'clock position then was gone. I often like to gaze at the stars and often see satellites but they are normally around the same size or smaller than most of the visible stars, this was much, much brighter.
