    The way things are at BI at Present and maybe in the Future I would do it 6 months at least before but as we know things can change over night, you never know we 13a Holders may be invited to get Citizenship:bucktooth:

    As long you do not lose your original citizenship it would be good to get that philippine citizenship. First you can own property, second you can not het detained, third you can get senior citizens rebates and fourth you can get better PhilHealth services for the standard prices.

    I wouldnt hold your breath on that issue,your still classed as a white foreigner with an endless supply of cash,im pretty sure they would find law somewhere in the books.

    You may need to re-read the law. I could look it up again but I believe it says "natural born Filipino Citizens" so you still could not own property if I read it right.

    As far as I am aware; A Female foreigner who marries a Filipino automatically gains citizenship and is recognized as a Filipina, whereas a Male foreigner can never gain Filipino citizenship even if he marries a Filipina...
