    If it has connected before means the drivers should be installed to use wifi, if the Windows has been replaced with an aftermarket version then maybe the drivers are not installed (the reason my laptop will not connect to wifi) if that is the case then search for your particular model and try and download the suitable drivers needed...

    I hope this helps in some way;

    Did you try turning off and back on the computer?

    Whoa, I think you just violated a major rule there. Looks like the filters need updated. :wink:

    Maybe turn tethering on for the phone and try to connect to that. If that works, then you can go into network settings -> manage known networks ->forget the connection and then re-enter password when it pops back up.

    Not much use to you this reply, as your connection is still not working after off/on, but for anyone else suffering this problem, I frequently find my internet will not connect and so I just turn it off and on and it works fine. I will read the information posted here to see if I can find a more long-lasting solution but I tend to prefer the 'off/on' method (which I refer to as the "Oo" method ... or "yes"!) rather than change anything on my laptop.

    When my laptop could not connect to the wifi it was because I had entered the password wrong (or someone changed it). Since I am using Windows 10 I had to find the spot where you delete the memory of that wifi connection. Then I had to hook up to it again, using the correct password (making sure caps lock was off) and it worked fine.

    Worth a try, but I remember I had a heck of a time finding the place where I could tell windows to delete and forget that wifi connection.

    PS I am also using an Acer Aspire
