    another idea to keep the ice tubes from freezing together would be to layer them with sheets/matts of the green screen/chicken wire you see at ag and building material stores. i would try the smallest mesh...

    Do they sell Shade Cloth here? It is like Mosquito gauze but made from Nylon, so would not rust and would be more gentle on the plastic tubes than a wire gauze...

    Same material as used in Green Houses like this;

    Congratulations Mr. Pig, you finally found something that I know nothing about. However, my wife knows this ice trade well. She says that the ice bags are not easy to break. She uses a different bag for making ice than for the tubig machine.The tubig bag is very thin and "easy to break". The ice bag is thicker and not easy to break. I don't know if you are using ice bags or water bags but this is the only suggestion that I have.

    We buy the tubes from Hypermart or locally here in Zamboanguita if they have in stock, interesting to know there is a difference between Tubig and Ice Tubes, will look into that, thank you for raising this. :smile: :thumbsup:

    Hmm... Just asked the wife and she says we are using the Ice tubes not the Tubig tubes so back to square one. :banghead:
